On July 26th the West Willow Fire Co. had a busy day. After getting the early setup done for the festival and most guys going home for some rest or to relax before the long night of the festival Engine 6 & tanker were dispatched to A brush fire assisting station 5-5 (New Danville). Engine 6 quickly made the response followed up by tanker & engine 5. Engine 6 quickly went into operation extinguishing some fire around a tractor and then worked the brush fire. Tanker was sent to assist engine 5-5-2 which resulted in putting a hand line in service as well as supplying engine 5-5-2 to get the fire slowed down and extinguished in the North West side of the fire.  Engine 5 arrived and put the field sweeps in service and got ahead of the fire to follow up what tanker 5-5 had started. tankers from 5-8 & 5-9 also assited at the scene as well as tanker 5-3 and brush 5-3 All total approximately 2-3 acres of a cut wheat field were involved. Once completed the department quickly got back into service and prepared for the festival. The West Willow Fire Co. Would like to thank everyone for a successful Festival. After the festival when everything was cleaned up, the station was dispatched for an unconscious person aed. 5 members quickly made the response to the residence and began cpr with the police department. Ems arrived soon after and took over and transported the patient to the hospital. After that the rest of our evening was calm.
