On Saturday February 27 we completed the sale of our Engine 5. this piece was know in the area as many names such as Attack 5-11, Brush 5-11, engine 5-11-5 & The Mini. This piece served Pequea Township for many years as well as the surrounding areas in many different uses. The uses this piece provided went from anywhere from brush fires, 1^st out on structures (back in the day) to water supply in hard to reach places on the rare occasion. Engine 5 was best known for being 1^st in on many fires as well as being a very reliable brush truck. This piece was sold to a gentleman in the PG, Maryland area who plans on keeping in similar appearance and will be able to be seen at many shows and parades in the area. To all of our surrounding companies who utilized this piece please update your resource list to reflect this piece being taken out of service. As most of you know we have engine 5-11-6 that can fill all the needs engine 5 filled plus more. We are also in the midst of adding our new Squad/brush truck to the fleet which will consist of a Ford F350 crew cab with a skid unit. This piece will be set up as a brush truck that can also serve our needs as a squad. Please stay tuned to the website for the completion of this piece.
